NSAC Citrus Classic Recap
On Friday, December 12, Atlantis University proudly hosted the NSAC Men's Basketball Citrus Classic for the first time at Jose Marti Park in Downtown Miami. Eight talented teams from across Florida came together for an exciting tournament. The Atlanteans delivered thrilling performances, securing a decisive victory over Lighthouse and battling fiercely against URBE, making it the unforgettable highlight of the Classic.

Dedicated coaches and volunteers arrived early at the Jose Marti Park gym in Downtown Miami to set up for the event. Their hard work and attention to detail shone through as they expertly handled everything, from scoreboards to broadcast cameras.
Over two weeks of meticulous preparation, they transformed the venue with professional statistics tables, well-appointed locker rooms, energizing music, and engaging announcers, ensuring every visiting team felt warmly welcomed and comfortable.

On Friday, Atlantis played against the conference champions, the Lighthouse CC Makos from Pensacola. Our team won 89-81 in a great game. Folayemi Salako stood out with a double-double, scoring 15 points and grabbing 15 rebounds. Samuel Jimenez had four assists, while Nikko Landon and Santiago Insaurralde each scored 14 points. Artem Sorokin added 13 points.
Atlantis played their second game on Saturday, November 13, at 12:00 PM against the formidable URBE team from Sweetwater, Miami. This became the most electrifying game of the Classic, with passionate fans from both sides packing the arena and creating an incredible atmosphere. The score remained nail-bitingly close until the final eight minutes in a hard-fought battle that showcased both teams' talent. The event represented a tremendous undertaking for the Athletics department, and they rose to the occasion brilliantly. Teams and conference officials enthusiastically praised our University for hosting such an exceptionally well-run event.
