Atlantis University Hits the Road for First Away Game in Pensacola
Atlantis University’s football team endured a tough road loss on Saturday, falling 6–22 to Westgate Christian University in Pensacola. Despite a strong defensive effort, the Atlanteans struggled to find rhythm on offense, with their only touchdown coming from wide receiver Jamarri Wright.
In their first road appearance of the season, the Atlanteans faced a physical Westgate Christian squad that capitalized early on turnovers and field position.
The Tridents' boys battled to stay in the game, showing resilience on defense, but missed opportunities on key drives limited their scoring chances. Westgate defense applied consistent pressure, forcing Atlantis to adjust its play. Jamarri Wright's touchdown provided a brief spark and reflected the team's competitive spirit, but Westgate's control of possession sealed the result. With another road test ahead at Gordon State in Barnesville this Saturday, the Atlanteans will look to regroup, refine their execution, and reclaim momentum as they continue to build toward more consistent performances.
