Atlantis University secured an 8–1 victory over the Bobcats of Bryan & Stratton - Syracuse on Tuesday, powered by timely hitting and command on the mound.
Romel Guerrero went 2-for-4 at the plate, while Adrian Astudillo delivered a perfect 3-for-3 performance. Astudillo set the offensive rhythm early, recording singles in the second, third, and fourth innings to keep constant pressure on the defense. The Atlanteans broke the game open in the bottom of the second. Lopez drove in a run with a single, Prosposito followed with a two-RBI single, and Valbuena added another run with a productive groundout. The third inning brought more separation, as Ruiz doubled to right field and a Bobcats error allowed another run to score. Encarnacion controlled the game from the start, earning the win after allowing just three hits and one run across five innings. He struck out seven and walked one. Pena absorbed the loss for the Bobcats, surrendering seven runs (six earned) over 4.1 innings. Sobrino closed the door to secure the save.
Atlantis finished with 10 hits, with Prosposito producing two RBIs from the ninth spot in the lineup while going 2-for-3 and swiping two bases. The defense backed the pitching staff with a clean double play, completing a disciplined and complete team performance.
